Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT)
Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) is an agile science university – a pioneer combining technology and business ever since its inception in 1969. Today our international community consists of 6500 students and experts, who share a passion for innovation through science. The LUT community represents 67 nationalities from all over the world, and enjoys the facilities of an internationally acclaimed Green Campus by Lake Saimaa.
LUT’s strategic focus areas are green energy and technology, sustainable value creation and our role as an international hub of Russian relations. LUT’s operations are characterised by a solution-focused way of thinking, and a will to contribute to the well-being of the surrounding society.
By the end of the year 2013, more than 11 000 LUT students have earned the degree of Master of Science in Technology or Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration. In addition, around 550 students have earned the postgraduate degree of Doctor of Science in Technology, Doctor of Science in Economics and Business Administration, or Doctor of Philosophy.
