In 2007 the Committee for the Future, Parliament of Finland published a report "Russia 2017: Three Scenarios". Now the Committee has continued the work by updating the old scenarios and adding a new fourth scenario " Russia 2030: based on Agreements ".
The new updated report discusses obstacles of Russia´s modernisation and economic development from the Finnish point of view. Russia and Finland has long historical special relationship, with ups and downs, and based on the long common border and many common interests as well as challenges. This is the first publication of the new report (In Finnish and in English). The report includes also the view of permanent committee of the parliament, the Committee for the Future, on actions and recommendation how Russian-Finnish relationship can be positively developed not only in the bilateral dealings but also in the context of Russia-EU relations.
