ERICO cooperating at the St. Petersburg Innovation Forum 


The St. Petersburg Innovation Forum continued the discussions started during the 1st EU-Russia Innovation Forum in Lappeenranta and the cities of Lappeenranta and St. Petersburg deepened their innovation cooperation during the event. We closely cooperated with the Innovation Forum during 29.9. – 1.10 by arranging two notable Conferences and the dates for the 2nd Forum (18-19.5.2011) were announced there. 

EU-Russia Innovation Corridor – Results of the EU-Russia Innovation Forum and Future Activities conference agenda included:

  • The results and key initiatives for EU-Russia Innovation Cooperation and Modernisation Partnership developed in the framework of the 1st European-Russian Innovation Forum
  • Priorities and trends in innovation development in the EU and the general areas of cooperation between the EU and Russia on the threshold of the Second European Innovation Summit
  • Prospects of Modernization Partnership development & Strategy of Innovation Sphere Development: priorities and directions for the implementation of medium and long-term period: plans, activities, mechanisms of realization


Partnering with FinNode Russia and Finnish-Russian Innovation Centre we also hosted Millions with Innovations Conference focusing on infrastructure and programs supporting the business development between Finland and Russia. The conference was well received and filled with discussions by commercialization experts and participating business representatives whom there were about 200. For example Russian company Speech Technology Center shared their knowledge  or experiences about the possibilities of entering the European market for innovative Russian companies. Representatives of Lappeenranta Business & Innovations and FinNode Russia presented new supporting mechanisms for internationalization of Russian innovations.  

Lappeenranta Innovation Ltd and the Finance Committee of the City of St. Petersburg signed a cooperation agreement on supporting the commercialization of Russian innovations and development of partnerships between Finnish and Russian companies as well as joint programs in this regard. Also another agreement focusing on the development of materials fitted for arctic climate and their commercialization was signed between Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Lappeenranta Innovation Ltd and CRISM Prometey from St. Petersburg in the Conference.
 
We also had a booth together with Lappeenranta Business & Innovations, Finnish-Russian Innovation Center, Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Smart Machines and Nano-Clusters as well as Finnish companies including Spinverse, MeVea and SET Group where we received hundreds of visitors during the Innovation Week in St. Petersburg.

ST. PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION FORUM,
29 September – 1 October 2010, St. Petersburg

The Government of Saint-Petersburg invited everybody to participate in the III St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum.

The Forum was a notable event, the main goal of which was the elaboration of key decisions, references and measures for the implementation of the plan of innovation economic development.

The program of the event provided the participants with the opportunity to interact within the field of business communication and to elaborate the "direct contacts". Farther a possibility was given to present the achievements in the innovations domain and demonstrate its practical implementation.

We expect that after having accepted our invitation you were appreciated the informative program of the Forum as well as warm welcome and beauty of Saint-Petersburg.
