The teaching, research and service facilities are all situated literally under one roof. The address of LUT is Skinnarilankatu 34, FI-53850 Lappeenranta.
Award-winning Green Campus
The LUT Green Campus is a unique research and education environment where the university's expertise in energy as well as its own innovations are put to practical use. This allows us to set an example on how science and technology can be used to solve environmental problems. On the Green Campus, we can build a world the way we think it should be.
The Green Campus showcases green values and energy-efficiency. It transforms LUT into a place where not only research is conducted, but where renewable energy is also produced and used. The campus area has, among others, a wind turbine and solar panels which produce electricity for research and LUT's electric cars and electric bikes.
The "greenness" of the Green Campus is evident in its green values and its landscaping and parks, and further enhances the attractiveness of LUT as a place of study and work situated on the beautiful shore of Lake Saimaa. LUT won the Campus category of the Sustainable Campus Excellence Award in a global competition in April 2013.
